Booking Office Appointments
Appointments are being offered in the office at the discretion of each individual doctor. We are striving to serve our patient population virtually as much as possible to reduce risk of asymptomatic transmission.
To book an appointment online for Dr. Assemi, Dr. Naveen Soni, or Dr. Riley, please click HERE.
All visits to our clinic are by appointment and will be booked with your regular doctor. If you have forms or notes for completion, please let staff know this at the time of booking. There will be additional charges for these services. Click HERE for uninsured services list.
Attending your Appointment
Due to the risk of COVID-19 transmission, we have kept our clinic front door locked to reduce in and out traffic. To enter the clinic, one must walk around the pharmacy building to access the main front door off of Bank Street. There is no longer direct access from the pharmacy. We aim to keep our waiting room sparsely filled and our appointments short, in order to minimize droplet exchange. Please respect your physician's time and maintain a distance when not being examined.
Rescheduling or Cancelling Appointments
Booking an appointment means that time has been reserved for you. If you miss an appointment without 24 hours notice, you will be billed at the Ontario Medical Association suggested rates.
After Hours Coverage
As a member of Walkley Medical Centre, you are entitled to access to your regular doctor or another doctor in the group during cross-coverage sessions for urgent matters only.
In the event that your regular doctor is unavailable and your problem is urgent, please inform the staff of the nature of the problem and we will try to accommodate you as best as we can. All doctors have a few same day bookings available for urgent matters.
We also hold after-hours (cross-coverage) clinics on certain weekdays from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and on weekends from 9:00am - 12:00pm.
Telephone Health Advisory Service (T.H.A.S)
This service is available to our rostered patients when our clinic is not open.
You will be connected to a nurse who will ask a series of questions to assess your health concerns and be provided with appropriate medical advice and follow up.
The nurse will send information to your health care provider about your call to the T.H.A.S.
Telehealth Ontario is a free, confidential service you can call to get health advice or information. A Registered Nurse will take your call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Toll-free TTY: 1-866-797-0007
Telehealth Ontario is only offered over the phone. Email advice is not available.
We request that you wear a mask. You will be contacted ahead of time of your appointment to answer some screening questions, to ensure a safe visit to our office. We are currently not accepting anyone to the office with any symptoms of COVID-19 infection, who has been in direct contact with someone with the infection, or who is waiting on test results due to an at-home contact. Please click on the file to the right to read our screening questionnaire. You will need to have answered and passed this screen prior to entering our office.
